Chester FC Community Trust are recruiting two Community Development Workers in partnership with the Westminster Foundation.
The posts will be based out of the £1.8 million King George V Sports Hub in Blacon, which is due for completion in early 2022 and will be the new home for our charity.
The Community Development Workers will help us ensure this fantastic new facility benefits local residents and creates lasting change in Our Community.
Your role will be to design and deliver a programme of outcome-based projects within our themes of sport, education, health and inclusion that respond to local needs and improve community cohesion, pride and resilience. You will develop strong, effective partnerships, encourage participation and identify opportunities to make projects sustainable.
These are full-time posts on a fixed term basis to 2025. Due to the nature of the role, some evening and weekend work will be necessary.
Applicants will ideally have previous experience of sport or community development, managing and developing projects and partnership working. Appointment will be subject to enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks and a full UK driving licence would be an advantage.
In return we offer a competitive salary, Chester FC uniform, support with CPD and training, company pension scheme and a fantastic opportunity to take on a key role within a successful club community organisation.
