Volunteer and train as a football coach

January 17, 2020 Jim Green

Chester FC Community Trust has an exciting opportunity available for young people who want to become qualified football coaches.

If you are aged 16-24 and share our passion for the game, we would like to hear from you and help start your coaching journey.

As a volunteer coach, you will receive funding to complete the FA Level 1 in Coaching Football course and a programme of support and training, including mentoring from a Chester FC Community Trust staff member.

In return, you will work alongside our team of coaches at a range of community football sessions during evenings and weekends, and be expected to volunteer 100 hours with the chance to earn Chester FC kit as you complete your volunteering log.

Volunteering with Community Trust will allow you to gain valuable experience and learn new skills to enhance your CV, build your confidence, meet new people and make a difference in your community.

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate an enthusiasm for football and coaching but do not need any formal qualifications or previous experience. You will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check and complete first aid and safeguarding certificates.

These new roles have been made possible thanks to support from the Comic Relief Community Fund.
