Vacancies: Chester FC Girls’ Emerging Talent Centre coaching roles

Following the award of a three-year FA Girls’ Emerging Talent Centre licence, Chester FC Community Trust is recruiting coaches to be part of this exciting new programme.

We are looking for enthusastic coaches who can plan, deliver and review high quality training sessions in line with The FA four corner model, creating a positive environment in which talented female players can learn and develop. You will be passionate about player development, have a good understanding of the England Women’s Player Pathway, and a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.

The start date for these roles is September 2022 and succesful applicants will need to be available for the 30-week training programme, which runs from September until June on Monday evenings from 5.30pm to 7pm. There will also be a games programme during school holidays.

Appointment will be subject to enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks and a full UK driving licence would be an advantage.

Player Development Lead (8 hours per week) 
• Create, lead and implement the technical programme for Chester FC Girls’ ETC
• Mentoring coaches to embed the tecnical programme across the centre
• Ensure the centre’s technical programme compliments the wider Lioness talent pathway
• Provide high quality coaching, observations and support
• Hold a minimum of FA Level 3 (Uefa B) in Coaching Football, together with FA accepted first aid and safeguarding certificates
• Renumeration £15 per hour plus £20 per home fixture and £40 per away fixture

Centre Group Coach (2 hours per week)
• Provide high quality coaching as part of the centre’s training and games programmes
• Plan, deliver and review sessions in line with LTPD guidelines
• Provide individual feedback to support player development through periodical reviews
• Work with the Player Development Lead to implement the centre’s technical programme
• Hold a minimum of FA Level 2 in Coaching Football, together with FA accepted first aid and safeguarding certificates
• Renumeration £20 per session plus £20 per home fixture and £40 per away fixture

Goalkeeping Coach (2 hours per week)
• Provide high quality coaching and support to goalkeepers attending the centre
• Provide individual feedback to support player development through periodical reviews
• Work with the Player Development Lead to implement the centre’s goalkeeper specific technical programme
• Hold a minimum of FA Level 2 in Coaching Goalkeepers, together with FA accepted first aid and safeguarding certificates
• Renumeration £20 per session plus £20 per home fixture and £40 per away fixture

ABOUT CHESTER FC GIRLS’ EMERGING TALENT CENTRE 

The FA has awarded Chester FC Community Trust a three-year licence to deliver the ETC programme, which is designed to be a central hub for talented female players from Chester, Ellesmere Port and the surrounding areas.

ETCs are designed to offer a comprehensive approach to player development, with high quality training and games programmes, strength and conditioning, physiotherapist, nutritional advice and health and wellbeing support.

Commencing in September, the Chester FC Girls’ ETC will operate dual age groups at U10s, U12s and U14s, and be based at King George V Community Sports Hub on Monday evenings.
