Chester FC Community Trust is reflecting on a successful first season for our Chester FC Girls’ Emerging Talent Centre (ETC) programme, which drew to a close this week.
The 60 players who have attended the ETC during the 2022/23 campaign deserve huge credit for their commitment and approach, taking part in weekly training and a games programme designed to maximise their potential.
We would also like to acknowledge the support of the players’ families and the work of the coaching team across the U10s, U12s and U14s age groups.
It has been fantastic to see a number of players receiving regional call-ups or progressing to Women’s Super League clubs such as Everton, Liverpool and Manchester United.
Chester FC Community Trust was awarded a three-year licence from The FA last summer for the ETC, which aims provides a high-quality environment for players, with a holistic approach to player development with training and games programmes, strength and conditioning, physiotherapist, nutritional advice, and health and wellbeing support.
