Our move to King George V Community Sports Hub represents the start of an exciting new era for Chester FC Community Trust.
Thanks to the outstanding support of our funding partners, we have turned our vision into reality and developed a fantastic £1.8 million facility that will lasting benefits for our community.
While work continues on the second phase to improve the grass pitches and pavilion at King George V Playing Fields, the Community Trust has launched a new campaign to help fit out our new home.
Make The Hub Our Home provides an opportunity for supporters, businesses, individuals and groups to purchase items to the Community Trust and help ensure the facility is fully equipped for use. As well as the new home of the Community Trust, the sports hub will host clubs and leagues including Saughall Colts, Upton JFC, the Chester & Wirral Football League and the Cheshire Girls Football League, along with Chester FC with the club’s women’s, academy and first team squads using the facilities.
We have produced a shopping list of items that we need to kit out the new clubhouse and every donation will be gratefully received.
The project contract included essential requirements such as tables, chairs, office furniture and audio visual equipment, but we are otherwise starting from scratch. Our wish list includes items such as a fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, cutlery, crockery and cleaning supplies.
As a small charity, this project has been a massive undertaking for us and has stretched our resources as we have grappled with unforeseen expenses, rising costs and a pandemic, therefore your donations, whether large or small, really will help us Make The Hub Our Home.
