Community Trust to pilot new Youth Hub for Blacon

February 8, 2023 Jim Green

Chester FC Community Trust is working with partners to establish a new Youth Hub for young people in Blacon – and is asking local residents to help shape the provision.

Starting after Easter, the Youth Hub pilot will run on Friday evenings at King George V Community Sports Hub and continue through to the summer holidays.

The Youth Hub will be free to attend and provide a safe, welcoming space for young people to meet friends and relax. There will be a range of activities on offer, including games, sport, music, arts, movies, computers and more,

We have put together a short survey for young people in Blacon to tell us what kinds of activities they would be interested in and also to help us build an understanding of the interest in a Youth Hub. Parents and guardians are welcome to complete the survey too.

During the pilot, the Youth Hub will be open from 4.30pm-6.30pm for Under 12s and 7pm-9pm for young people aged 12-17.

The Youth Hub will be led by qualified, experienced staff, however there will also be volunteering opportunities for anyone interested in getting involved.
