Chester FC Community Trust welcomes the Government’s announcement of its roadmap out of the current national lockdown.
While recognising the need the caution and the importance of ensuring everyone continues to follow the guidance to protect themselves and others, the four-step plan provides hope of a return to a more normal way of life for us all.
The Community Trust is now developing plans to resume delivery of face-to-face activities over the coming weeks and months, and we look forward to welcoming back participants as restrictions are eased.
With schools reopening to all pupils from 8th March, we will be offering support to children and teachers through the delivery of high quality PE, sport and extra-curricular clubs. The welcome return of outdoor organised sport from 29th March will allow us to resume delivery of face-to-face sessions, including Walking Football, Mental Health & Wellbeing Football, Goalkeeper Academy, PAN-Disability Football, Development Centres and Mini Kickers. We are also pleased to confirm we will be our popular Chester FC Soccer School will run during the Easter holidays at the Deva Stadium.
In addition, we will be introducing additional programmes and activities over the next few months to help our community’s recovery from COVID-19.
We remain committed to ensuring the health and wellbeing of everyone who attends our sessions, and all activities will continue to be planned and delivered in line with current Government and FA guidance
The last 12 months have been incredibly challenging for our community but we can now look to the future with optimism and hope of a return to better days.
