An enrolment day for students interested in the Chester FC Football Education Programme is being held on Thursday 22nd August to coincide with GCSE results day.
Taking place at King George V Community Sports Hub from 10am until 5pm, the event will give prospective students the chance to learn more about the programme, delivered in partnership with Access College, and to enrol for the new academic year.
Chester FC Football & Education Programme is aimed at young people who want to turn their passion for sport into a career, combining academic studies with coaching placements and football development in a full-time environment.
Delivered in partnership with Access Sport, the two-year course gives 16-18-year-olds the chance to complete a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sports Development & Coaching qualification, gain valuable coaching experience and take part in a football development programme.
CONFIRM YOUR ATTENDANCE AT ENROLMENT DAY
Once you have collected your GCSE results, our tutors and coaches will be on hand to welcome you as we officially enrol you as a Chester FC Football Education student, or answer any questions you may have about the course. We will need you to bring evidence of your qualifications with you – whether you’re getting your exam grades this summer, or whether you achieved your qualifications some time ago. You can bring your results slip or your certificates, either will be fine. You will also need to bring a form of identification with you, ideally a passport, or another form of photo ID that includes your name and date of birth.
Good luck to everyone collecting their GCSE results. If you haven’t quite achieved the grades you were hoping for, we’ll talk to you about your options so please still attend our enrolment day.
