Chester FC Community Trust is hosting a free event on #LetGirlsPlay Big Football Day to celebrate the Women’s World Cup!
Taking place from 9am on Saturday 22nd July at King George V Community Sports Hub, the event will feature free coaching sessions for girls, a women’s walking football taster, and the chance to watch England’s Women’s World Cup opener against Haiti, in a festival atmosphere with refreshments and music.
Players and coaches from Chester FC Women – who will be playing at the Deva Stadium during the 2023/24 season – will be in attendance too.
Girls Football Coaching (9.15am)
Join our football sessions for ages 5-11 and 12-16 with FA qualified coaches. There will be lots of fun activities and small-sided games suitable for players of all experience levels.
Women’s Walking Football Taster (9.45am)
Walking football is a great social activity for women of all ages, who want to play the game and exercise. The slower pace and reduced physicality makes it fun and accessible for all. This free taster session is ideal for mums, grans, aunties and anyone who would like to give it a go!
England Match Screening (10.30am)
England Women take on Haiti Women in the opening game of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 and we’ll be screening the match in the Clubhouse following the activities.
All activities are free and the event will be great opportunity to promote women’s and girls’ football, and show support for the Lionesses as they look to make history this summer.
