Chester FC Community Trust invites you to celebrate the His Majesty The King’s Coronation with a day of family-friendly fun and activities.
Taking place at King George V Community Sports Hub in Blacon on Saturday, May 6 between 10am and 3pm, the event is free to attend with everyone welcome.
The Community Trust has been awarded a grant of £2,170 from the National Lottery Community Fund towards the event to help bring people together and celebrate this historic occasion.
There will be a special Coronation Cup football festival on the day for boys’ and girls’ teams, which will be played on the sports hub’s 3G pitch.
Other activities include a free bouncy castle, DJ, face painting, free Coronation-themed crafts, food and drink vendors, and a selection of stalls featuring local businesses and charities, while it’s also planned to screen the ceremony during the day.
There is a free parking on site, however spaces are limited with visitors encouraged to walk to the facility or use public transport if they are able to do so.
