Chester FC Community Trust is supporting Mental Health Awareness Week 2024.
Since 2001, the Mental Health Foundation has been leading Mental Health Awareness Week – bringing together the UK to focus on getting good mental health. The theme for 2024 is ‘movement: moving more for our mental health’.
Regular physical activity is known to improve mental health, quality of life, and wellbeing. It also helps prevent and treat heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and breast and colon cancer, and more. Despite these benefits being well established, over a third of UK adults do not meet the recommended amount of activity.

Helping people to move more and increase their physical activity levels is central to the work of Chester FC Community Trust, and we have lots of programmes for you to get involved with.
From yoga to walking football, and pilates to mental health football sessions, we want to make it easier for people to find ways of moving they enjoy.
If you’d like details about any of the programmes we offer, email community@chesterfc.com.
