Chester FC Community Trust and Chester School Sport Partnership have teamed up to give schools the chance to be part of the #LetGirlsPlay Biggest Ever Football Session!
Last year more than 90,000 girls from schools across England joined in with the Biggest Ever Football Session. The event forms part of the The FA’s #LetGirlsPlay campaign that aims to ensure girls have the same football opportunities as boys in schools and clubs.
On Wednesday 6th March, Year 3 & 4 girls from 12 Chester schools will enjoy a fun-packed morning of coaching sessions and games with Chester FC Community Trust and Chester School Sport Partnership at King George V Community Sports Hub in Blacon.
Chester FC Community Trust engages with 200 players each week through its women’s and girls’ programmes, which include Weetabix Wildcats, Girls’ Player Development Centre, FA Girls’ Emerging Talent Centre and Chester FC Women’s teams. The charity also works with schools in Cheshire West and Chester to grow and develop girls’ football through coaching sessions, extra-curricular clubs and inter-school events.
Chester School Sport Partnership supports schools to deliver high quality PE and school sport, working with with primary and secondary schools to enhance the quality of sporting opportunities through the curriculum, intra and inter-school competition and developing the young volunteers of the future.
