Children attending Chester FC’s home game with Boston United this month will be able to collect a free book to celebrate World Book Day 2020.
Chester FC Community Trust, the Premier League Charitable Foundation, National Literacy Trust and WH Smith have teamed up to make 200 free books available.
Youngsters can collect a free World Book Day voucher from the Community Trust gazebo from 1pm which can be then be redeemed at the WH Smith pop-up book stall for one of 10 exclusive 2020 World Book Day books to take home and keep.
Please note books will be handed out on a first come first served basis so families are advised to arrive early to avoid disappointment.
Community Trust CEO Jim Green said: “We are one of 75 community foundations who will be giving away 15,000 books to children this year and we’re really proud to be part of this fantastic initative.
“We would like to thank the Premier League, National Literacy Trust and WH Smith in Chester for making this possible.”
WH Smith is visiting football clubs across the country between February 29th and March 14th to hand out free books to celebrate World Book Day 2020, which takes place on Thursday 5th March.
