Chester FC Player Development Centres (PDC) are designed to support the individual development of young footballers, through access to additional coaching in a positive environment, with programmes for both boys and girls.
Players will take part in a coaching programme based on The FA's four-corner model, that will focus on attacking and defending principles, technical skills, game understanding, decision-making, and developing confidence. Each block will normally includes six sessions, which will feature a mix of small-sided games, coaching practices and 1v1, 1v2 and 2v2 scenarios.
All sessions are delivered by our qualified coaches and players continue to train and play for their grassroots club, although we also welcome boys and girls who have not yet joined teams. For players who demonstrate exceptional ability, the PDCs provide a pathway to the Chester FC Academy and Chester FC Girls Emerging Talent Centre programmes.
