  • Blacon Youth Hub is hosting a Summer Party to celebrate another amazing year for our Friday night youth club! We are inviting all of our Youth Hub members to join us from 6pm to 8pm on Friday 17th July for a evening packed with fun games and activities, inflatables, party food, ice cream and much more. The party will celebrate the second anniversary of the Youth Hub too. Since opening in July 2024, the Youth Hub has provided more than 320 hours of youth work for children and young people in Blacon. The Youth Hub team of Liz, Alex and Connor put a huge amount of work into providing a safe, fun and inclusive space where young people can take part in activities, meet up with their mates and make new friends.   • Chester FC Community Trust is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Football Education Coach to join our Football & Education programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality coaching sessions, leading matchday activity, and supporting the holistic development of student-athletes participating in our Football Education Programme. The Football Education Coach will help create a positive, professional and player-centred environment where students can thrive both on and off the pitch. This is a part-time permanent position for 10 hours per week, with the successful applicant required to work: • Monday afternoon • Tuesday afternoon • Wednesday (Matchday) • Friday afternoon The ideal candidate will hold a minimum UEFA C Licence (or equivalent), together with current FA Safeguarding and Emergency First Aid qualifications. Experience coaching players aged 16-19 within an education or academy environment is desirable, along with excellent communication and organisational skills. A competitive hourly rate, dependent on qualifications and experience, will be offered. We also provide club kit, opportunities for continued professional development (CPD), and the chance to play a key role within an ambitious Football Education programme. Appointment will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Football Education Coach Responsibilities • Plan, deliver and evaluate high-quality football coaching sessions that align with the programme’s playing philosophy. • Lead the team on weekly matchdays, including pre-match preparation, in-game coaching and post-match review. • Support the development of individual players through regular feedback and Individual Development Plans (IDPs). • Work collaboratively with education staff to promote high standards of attendance, behaviour and academic achievement. • Create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment where every student is encouraged to achieve their potential. • Maintain accurate records including session plans, attendance, player reviews and match reports. • Monitor player wellbeing and contribute to the pastoral support of students where appropriate. • Support player recruitment activities including trials, open events and talent identification. • Represent the organisation in a professional manner at fixtures, tournaments and external events. • Ensure all coaching activities comply with FA safeguarding, equality, health & safety and club policies. • Engage in CPD opportunities to continually develop coaching practice and contribute to the ongoing development of the Football Education programme. Candidate Requirements • UEFA C Licence (minimum) or equivalent coaching qualification. • FA Introduction to First Aid in Football (or Emergency First Aid in Football). • FA Safeguarding qualification. • Experience coaching players within a football development, academy or education environment. • Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills. • Ability to motivate, inspire and develop young players. • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable).   • Chester FC Community Trust is inviting schools across Chester and Cheshire West to register their interest in our new Schools Football Leagues. Building on the success of our inter-school tournaments, we are now looking to offer high-quality leagues for schools, providing increased opportunities for organised fixtures. Hosted centrally at King George V Community Sports Hub, the leagues will have at least three matchdays with schools playing a minimum of two games per matchday. Chester FC Community Trust will provide referees, equipment and a league coordinator to ensure each matchday runs smoothly, with parents and carers welcome to attend to support the teams. At the end of each league, all players will receive a medal and the winning school will be presented with a trophy. Working across our popular holiday football camps and community activities, successful applicants will help deliver fun, safe and engaging sessions for children and young people of all abilities. This is an excellent opportunity for coaches looking to gain experience within a professional football club charity and make a positive impact in the local community. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR The successful candidates will possess a minimum FA Introduction to Coaching Football qualification (or equivalent), with UEFA C (FA Level 2) desirable. Applicants should also hold valid FA Safeguarding Children and Emergency First Aid qualifications, or be willing to obtain these prior to commencing employment. Previous experience of coaching children and young people in school, club or community settings is desirable, together with excellent communication skills, enthusiasm and the ability to work as part of a team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality, age-appropriate goalkeeping coaching sessions, working closely with the Player Development Lead to implement the Girls’ ETC technical programme. The Goalkeeping Coach will also collaborate with the ETC Manager and wider coaching team to support the holistic development of high-performing female goalkeepers, both on and off the pitch. Loneliness Awareness Week is the world’s largest campaign to inspire conversations about loneliness, and promote connection activities happening across the world. At Chester FC Community Trust, we believe that nobody should feel alone. Through a range of inclusive programmes and activities, we provide opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to meet others, stay active and become part of a supportive community.
