Chester FC and Chester FC Community Trust are delighted to announce the game with Leamington on 9th March has been declared the club’s annual Community Day.
 

 
The themed fixture will celebrate the supporter-owned club’s links with communities across Chester and beyond as well as showcasing the work of the Community Trust, who will be the match sponsors, within the city.
 
Hundreds of free tickets will be available for children from local schools and grassroots clubs to pack out the Intilery South Stand for the match and take part in a half-time parade around the pitch.
 
Pre-game there will be a host of activities on offer at the Swansway Chester Stadium including free face painting, football inflatables and lots more to be revealed in the coming weeks with support from the club’s Fan Engagement Working Group.
 
The Community Trust, who will be raising funds at the match to support the charity’s work, will be running free football sessions on the day for boys and girls along with walking football taster sessions for older supporters.
 
Jim Green, chief executive of Chester FC Community Trust, said: “We’re really excited for this year’s Community Day and we’re hoping a bumper crowd will come along to enjoy the occasion and support Bern, Jonno and the team.
 
“This is the first time we’ve had a designated fixture for Community Day and it’s a great opportunity to acknowledge our role as a community club and hopefully welcome some new fans to the Chester FC family.
 
“The Community Trust will be contacting schools and clubs over the next week to invite them to join us on the day and more details about what’s planned will be announced as we build up to the game.”

This February half-term sees the return of the Chester FC Soccer School with bookings now being taken.
 

 
The four-day course is running at The Cheshire County Sports Club in Upton from Monday 18th until Thursday 21st February.
 
Each day runs from 10am until 4pm each day and features coaching drills, games and tournaments with FA qualified coaches from Chester FC Community Trust.
 
The camp costs £12.50 per day or just £40 for all four days. An optional 9am early drop-off is available for £2.50 to help parents plan for the school holidays. Online booking is available through Eventbrite (additional booking fee applies) at community.chesterfc.com/book-online.
 
Children will need a packed lunch, snacks, lots of drinks as well as suitable footwear, shin pads and appropriate clothing.

Chester FC Mini Kickers kicks off for 2019 this weekend and welcomes new children aged 3-7.
 

 
Mini Kickers is a brilliant introduction to the beautiful game for youngsters in a fun, safe environment with all abilities and experience levels welcome.
 
Each session features individual and group activities and games designed to develop football and fundamental movement skills, helping to build confidence and develop life skills and values such as communication, teamwork and respect.
 
Sessions takes place on Sunday mornings in the sports hall at the Northgate Arena with two classes: 9am for three-year-olds and children in Reception; and 10am for children in Years 1 & 2.
 
Classes cost just £3 per week and there are no joining or registrations fees and no need to pay in advance.

The Chester FC Girls Player Development Centre is welcoming applications from new players for its next 12-week programme, which starts on Monday January 14.
 

 
Designed to bridge the gap between the grassroots game and elite football, the Girls PDC is run in partnership with Cheshire FA and supports The FA Girls’ England Talent Pathway with progression routes for those of exceptional ability.
 
The Girls PDC provides weekly training sessions for U10s, U12s and U14s while U16s will be given the opportunity to train alongside the Chester FC Women U18s squad.
 
The programme aims to help young footballers reach their potential through the provision of quality coaching and additional playing opportunities.
 
Players selected for the Chester FC Girls PDC continue to train and play for their grassroots club, and will take part in a 12-week programme based on the The FA’s four corner player development model.
 
The centres are based on 3G artificial pitches and feature a games progamme of fixtures and festivals against professional clubs and academy teams.
 
This season’s Girls PDC programme will run on Mondays and Thursdays as follows:

The PDC, which is for U6s to U12s, is designed to support young footballers in helping them reach their potential, offering advanced weekly training with coaches from Chester FC Community Trust and Chester FC Academy.
 
The structured programme challenges players using The FA’s four corner player development model and features games with professional clubs and academy teams.
 
Players continue to train and play for the grassroots clubs with a talent pathway enabling those of exceptional ability to progress to Chester FC Academy.
 
This programme runs for 12 weeks from January to May for U6s, U7s, U8s, U9s, U10s, U11s & U12s based on 2018/19 age groups.
 
Sessions take place on Monday and Friday evenings on 3G pitches at Blacon High School and Chester RUFC as follows:
