Blacon Youth Hub to open doors to young people

June 11, 2024 Jim Green

Blacon Youth Hub – a new provision for young people in the area from Chester FC Community Trust – will open its doors for the first time on Friday 5th July.

Running on Friday evenings at King George V Community Sports Hub, Blacon Youth Hub aims to offer a safe, inclusive space for young people to meet up with friends and have the chance to take part in activities, including sport, music, arts, movies, gaming and more.

There will be two sessions each week with junior sessions for ages 7-11 at 5pm-6.45pm and senior sessions for ages 12-17 from 7.15pm-9pm. Please note sessions will operate on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to a maximum capacity.

All young people who wish to attend Blacon Youth Hub are required to become members. It is free to sign up through completing a short online form.

Blacon Youth Hub is part of the ongoing work involving a number of partners and stakeholders to increase opportunities for young people. Chester FC Community Trust has secured funding for an initial period of two years, with the aim of establishing a permanent provision in the future.
