Chester FC Kit Bank

Chester FC Kit Bank aims to support local children and families through collecting and recycling new and pre-loved sports kit and equipment.

Whether it’s boots, shinpads, or a kit for training and playing, donations to the Kit Bank will be redistributed to young players and families across Chester and Cheshire West, helping ease the cost of participation and removing barriers to playing grassroots sport.

UPCOMING DONATION EVENTS

Date: Saturday 9 August 2025
Event: Chester FC vs Peterborough Sports
Location: Deva Stadium, Bumpers Lane, Chester CH1 4LT
Times: 13:00 - 15:00

Initially, the Kit Bank will focus on supporting children aged 5-11, however we hope to extend this over time. Donations will be accepted at set times and locations, typically aligned with matchdays or community events. Families wishing to access the Kit Bank can self-refer, ensuring support is available without needing a formal referral or assessment.

What We’re Collecting

We’re accepting clean, good-quality kit for boys and girls aged 5–11:

• Football boots or trainers
• Boot bags
• Shin pads
• Shirts and shorts
• Tracksuits, hoodies & sports jackets

Donations of items that your child has outgrown or no longer uses will be collected, stored, and redistributed to children and families who need them.

What We Can’t Accept

To keep the Kit Bank safe and useful, we cannot accept:

• Dirty or damaged items
• Underwear or hygiene products
• Used water bottles
• Items with offensive logos/text
• Mouldy or smelly kit

All donated items are carefully checked to ensure they are clean, safe, and suitable for reuse. Please donate only items you’d feel comfortable giving to someone you know.

How It Works

1. Drop‑off dates are scheduled ahead of home games or community events - items can only be accepted during these specific times.
2. Families in need can self‑refer to access items — no formal agency referral required.

How You Can Help

• Donate: Bring any items listed above to our donations events.
• Spread the Word: Share this initiative with friends, schools, and local clubs.
• Get Involved: Volunteer or partner with us to grow the Kit Bank even further.
