Chester FC is offering primary and secondary schools in Chester and the surrounding area a free family season ticket for the 2019/20 campaign.
The club and its Community Trust have teamed up to deliver this fantastic new initiative, with the family season ticket allowing two children and two adults from each participating school to watch the Blues in action next season.
Schools will be able use to the season ticket to reward and incentivise deserving pupils for each home league fixture at the Swansway Chester Stadium.
The club is aiming to deliver a whole new matchday experience for the families visiting with the season ticket and is seeking volunteer matchday hosts who would like to be involved with this initiative from the outset. Please email jeff.banks@chesterfc.com for further information.
Jim Green, CEO of the Community Trust, said, “We want to make this as easy as possible for schools and hopefully lots will take up the offer of a free family season ticket for their pupils. For some children it might be the first time they have had the opportunity to attend a live football match and we hope it will be a great family day out and something they will remember.”
Jeff Banks, director of Fan Engagement, was delighted to announce this initiative: “It’s something that the Fan Engagement Working Group (FEWG) and Community Trust have been discussing recently, and we really want to engage with local schools, both primary and secondary, and hopefully the Family Season Ticket idea will be well received and we will get to see some new Chester FC fans in the process. We are certainly planning to make their matchday experience a really positive one.”
The Community Trust will be making contact schools this week with further details about the initiative and more information can be obtained via community@chesterfc.com.
