    Double winners Chester FC Women have been promoted to the North West Women’s Regional Football League for the 2018/19 campaign.     Last season the Blues were crowned Cheshire Women’s League Division One champions and lifted the Challenge Cup, and now make the step up next level of the women’s football pyramid.   The team, which receives fantastic backing from the club’s principal partners MBNA, will line up in Division One South alongside the likes of Altrincham, Curzon Ashton, Northwich Vixens, Stockport County Blues and Warrington Wolverines.   Promotion caps an outstanding 12 months for manager Dean Vian and his…

  • Chester FC Women to grace Swansway Chester Stadium

    League winners Chester FC Women will play at the Swansway Chester Stadium pitch on Monday evening with free admission to the game for supporters.     Having been crowned Cheshire Women’s League Division One champions and reached the Challenge Cup final at the weekend, Dean Vian’s team will take on Runcorn Linnets Ladies at the stadium (7.30pm KO).   The game is a fitting reward for the squad’s fantastic efforts during the season and provides an opportunity for Blues fans to show their support for the club’s women’s section.   Entry to the match is free of charge but supporters…

    Chester FC Women will meet Stockport County Ladies Development in the Cheshire Women’s League Challenge Cup final.     The Blues progressed with a thrilling 3-2 extra time win against West Kirby Ladies in the semi-final on Sunday thanks to goals from Katie Priest, Rachel Lever and captain Lauren Stringer.   Results elsewhere ensured a double celebration as Dean Vian’s side were confirmed as Division One champions after nearest challengers Wythenshawe Amateurs Women dropped points.   The Challenge Cup final takes place at Townfield Lane, home of Barnton FC, on Sunday 6th May (3pm).   Admission for spectators is £1…

    Chester FC Women will host an XI side from Liverpool Ladies FC for a friendly match at Swansway Chester Stadium on Sunday 3rd September (kick off 12pm).     Chester-based MBNA, our principal partner have been integral in bringing the two sides together.     Chester FC Women began their pre-season schedule with a 4-1 victory over a Crewe Alexandra Ladies XI at the Alex Soccer Centre in Shavington.     Emma Gray headed the Blues into the lead on her debut when she connected with a fine Rachel Lever cross and Lever doubled the lead with a smart finish from a Debs Trayner through ball to make it 2-0.   Chester moved 3-0 up when Traner netted in confident fashion with Gray claiming the assist and although Crewe pulled one back with a smart strike from distance, the visitors secured the win in the…

    Chester FC Women U18s are looking for new players of all abilities and experience levels to strengthen the current squad.   This development squad for players aged 15-18 is a vital bridge between local clubs at grassroots level and the Chester FC Women’s team, who compete in the Cheshire Women’s League.   The club is committed to developing the women’s game and has exciting plans for the future with the U18s central to realising these ambitions.   Under head coach Ben Richards, the squad have access to excellent facilities and train on Monday evenings with regular development fixtures on Sundays.   This…

    Sunday 6th November 2016 We entertained Runcorn Linnets Ladies at home in a repeat of our opening league fixture. We knew what a good team they are from last season’s league and cup double and from a difficult opening fixture. Having looked at their results they have been a bit up and down this season but we knew they would be up for the game against ourselves.     Sunday 13th November 2016 This game was a tale of 2 halves, we started very well and looked in total control and kept the ball very well. We raced into a 4-0 lead without even getting out of second gear and were a threat from every set piece. The first goal was scored by midfielder Becky Tebb on 5 minutes who rifled into the side netting of the goal from a half cleared corner, a fantastic finish which gave the goalkeeper absolutely no chance.
