Free CPR training for Restart a Heart Day

October 8, 2026 Jim Green

This October, Chester FC Community Trust is supporting Restart a Heart Day, helping people learn the lifesaving skills needed to restart a heart while waiting for an ambulance to arrive.

We’re pleased to be hosting two FREE CPR awareness sessions at King George V Community Sports Hub on Friday 16 October.

Date: Friday 16 October
Venue: King George V Sports Hub, Blacon, CH1 5BD
Session 1: 9:15am–10:00am
Session 2: 10:30am–11:15am

Why does it matter?

Around 40,000 people suffer an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest in the UK every year – more than 100 people every day.

Early CPR can double the chances of survival, while every minute without CPR and defibrillation reduces the chance of survival by around 10%.

A cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, anywhere – and knowing what to do could help save the life of a friend, family member, colleague or stranger.

The sessions are completely FREE, with places limited to 10 people per session.

Whether you’ve never learned CPR before or simply want to refresh your knowledge, come along and learn a skill that really could make a difference.

Places are limited, so get in touch to find out more or reserve your place now through the link below. For further details, email community@chesterfc.com.
