World Mental Health Day Football Festival

September 25, 2023 Jim Green

Chester FC Community Trust is hosting a football festival to mark World Mental Health Day.

The free event on Wednesday 11th October is open to teams supporting men and women who have experienced a mental health problem or social isolation.

Alongside a six-a-side football tournament, the day will also provide an opportunity to promote organisations and activities that can benefit the mental wellbeing of our community.

Taking place from 10am until 1pm, the event is being staged at King George V Community Sports Hub in Blacon.

World Mental Health Day is celebrated on 10 October every year and is about raising awareness of mental health and driving positive change for everyone’s mental health. The theme for 2023, set by the World Foundation of Mental Health, is ‘Mental health is a universal human right’.

If you would like to enter a team, have a stall or find out more information about the day, email community@chesterfc.com or mark.eastup@chesterfc.com.
