Chester FC players Nathan Woodthorpe, Sam Reed and Tom Peers joined pupils and staff at Rivacre Valley Primary School on Tuesday 3 November to officially open the school’s brand-new Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA).
The players joined Headteacher Kate Docherty for the official opening before taking to the new facility to enjoy a few games of football alongside some of the children.

The visit, supported by Chester FC Community Trust, helped celebrate the completion of a fantastic new facility that will provide pupils with more opportunities to enjoy sport and physical activity.
The MUGA has been made possible thanks to the incredible fundraising efforts and generosity of the school’s parents and wider local community, whose support has helped turn the vision into reality.
The new facility will provide a space for children to stay active, develop their sporting skills, build friendships and, most importantly, have fun for many years to come.

Chester FC Community Trust was delighted to be involved in the celebrations and would like to congratulate everyone at Rivacre Valley Primary School who has played a part in bringing the project to life.
It is a wonderful example of what can be achieved when schools and local communities work together, and we wish all the pupils many happy hours enjoying their new facility!
