Chester FC Community Trust is inviting young footballers to take part in a free football camp in memory of Matthew Hazeldine, a hugely respected figure within grassroots football across Chester and North Wales, who sadly passed away unexpectedly this month at the age of 47.
Matthew dedicated much of his life to football and was a familiar face to countless players, coaches and families across the local game. His sudden passing has left his wife and four children facing an incredibly difficult time.
As a charity committed to supporting our community through the power of football, Chester FC Community Trust is proud to host this special event in Matthew’s memory. While the camp is completely free to attend, parents and carers are invited to consider making a donation to support Matthew’s family with funeral expenses and ongoing financial support during this challenging period.

Supporting Matthew’s Family
Football is built on community, and when one of our own needs support, the football family comes together.
Anyone wishing to help can donate through Matthew’s GoFundMe appeal:
Donate to Matthew Hazeldine’s Family Fund
Every donation, no matter the size, will help ease the burden on Matthew’s family as they come to terms with their loss.
We look forward to welcoming young players for a fantastic day of football while celebrating Matthew’s legacy and showing the strength of our local football community.
