Acresfield claimed the trophy as Chester FC Community Trust hosted the National League Trust Under 11s Schools Cup for girls teams, and will now represent Chester FC in the north west finals.
Held annually, the competition sees all 72 National League clubs invited to host tournaments, with the winners representing their respective clubs in the regional finals for a place in the national final, which is played at Wembley Stadium.
After a rain-soaked competition for mixed teams last week, the weather was much kinder this time around as 15 girls teams played out a fantastic event at King George V Community Sports Hub in Blacon.
In a keenly contested final, Acresfeld overcame St Martin’s Academy to finish as overall winners, while Dee Point took home the Plate trophy after defeating The Acorns in the final.
Acresfield will now join Upton Heath, who won the mixed event, as the representatives of Chester FC in the north west finals next year.
Congratulations to the winning schools and a huge well done to all teams who attended and contributed to another brilliant morning of football, and our thanks once again to the Chester FC Football Education students who helped organise the event and acted as referees.
